If you live out of our area and are unable to adopt from us,

you might want to find a bird rescue organization nearer to your home.

Here are some suggestions:

1. Do a Google or Yahoo! search, enclosing your string in apostrophes.  For example, "parrot rescue Missouri"

2. Contact local parrot clubs.

3. Contact local avian veterinarians. If you don't know one, just call a vet close to you and ask who in the area sees parrots.

4. Check on Petfinder.

Items 2 and 3 will often lead you to someone who knows about any groups in your area.
